danems3 heterozygotes do not exhibit any size alterations or roughness in eyes when compared to control adults.

Mosaic individuals with danems3 clones (in Minute background) comprising most of the eye-antennal derived structures in the adult head exhibit defects that indicate mild antenna-to-leg transformation of the distal antenna and slightly rough eyes with normal number of ommatidia when compared to control adults.

danems3 flies in which dan is overexpressed from the P{EPg}danEPgJ3-220 insertion using Scer\GAL4sd-SG29.1 have normal wings. danems3 flies in which dan is overexpressed from the P{EPg}danEPgJ3-220 insertion using Scer\GAL4Dll-md23 show loss of claws, but not transformation to arista, in the leg. Homozygous danems3 flies have mild defects in the antenna, including an occasional ectopic bristle in the third antennal segment.

danrex35 danems3 double heterozygotes do not exhibit any visible eye phenotypes as single heterozygotes or control adults.

Mosaic animals with danems3 danrex35 double homozygous clones (in Minute background) exhibit gaps in the ommatidial array when compared to controls. While pre-morphogenetic-furrow danems3 danrex35 double homozygous clones do not exhibit any alterations in size in the third instar larval eye-antennal discs when compared to controls.

Mosaic animals with CtBP87De-10 danems3 danrex35 triple homozygous clones (in Minute background) exhibit defects in ommatidia with a higher frequency when compared to danems3 danrex35 double homozygous clones (in Minute background).

Mosaic animals with CtBP87De-10 danems3 double homozygous clones exhibit significantly fewer ommatidia than single homozygous mosaic eyes and control clones.
