A heat shock promoter drives expression of a full length Parp cDNA.

Expression of Parphs.PU (using a 1 hour heat shock at 37oC every 12 hours from the early third instar to the end of the pupal stage) results in tissue polarity defects in the wing, notum, abdomen and eye. Expression of Parphs.PU (using heat shock of stage 12-13 embryos at 37oC for 2 hours) disrupts the organisation of the F-actin cytoskeleton of the epidermis.
