Expression of PRAS40UAS.cCa under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PU results in a small eye phenotype.

Expression of PRAS40Scer\UAS.cCa under the control of Scer\GAL4en.PU results in a marked reduction in the size of the posterior compartment of the wing, which is associated with a reduction in cell size. No defects in wing vein or wing margin patterning are seen.

Expression of CG46146Scer\UAS.cCa under the control of Scer\GAL4bi-omb-Gal4 does not affect eye size.

Expression of CG46146Scer\UAS.cCa under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PH results in selective elimination of the ventral eye in the disc and in the adult.

Co-expression of RhebScer\UAS.cUa partially rescues the reduction in size of the posterior compartment of the wing which is caused by expression of PRAS40Scer\UAS.cCa under the control of Scer\GAL4en.PU.

Co-expression of tshScer\UAS.cGa and CG46146Scer\UAS.cCa under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI in clones in the eye results in ventral eye suppression and dorsal eye enlargements.

Expression of CG46146Scer\UAS.cCa under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PH in eye discs homozygous for pnrVX6 (generated using the "EGUF" method to remove all eye disc cells except the homozygous pnrVX6 clone cells) results in a small eye phenotype due to a reduction of the eye on both dorsal and ventral eye margins in nearly 20% of flies. This double mutant phenotype is different from either single mutant phenotype. The polarity of most of the ommatidia in the small eye is dorsal, along with a few ventral or with a polarity defect.

Expression of CG46146Scer\UAS.cCa under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PH in eye discs homozygous for Df(3L)iro-DFM3 (generated using the "EGUF" method to remove all eye disc cells except the homozygous Df(3L)iro-DFM3 clone cells) results in a small eye phenotype due to a reduction of the eye on both dorsal and ventral eye margins in nearly 20% of flies.

The reduced eye phenotype caused by expression of NECN.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PH is partially suppressed in the ventral part of the eye by coexpression of CG46146Scer\UAS.cCa. The rough eye phenotype caused by expression of NECN.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF is not suppressed by coexpression of CG46146Scer\UAS.cCa.
