A few Ssdp11/SsdpBG01663 and Ssdp11/SsdpKG03600 animals survive to eclose as adults with mild cuticular defects, including a slight distortion of the posterior scutellar bristles, often accompanied by duplication of the anterior scutellar bristles.
Double heterozygotes for Chie5.5 and Ssdp11 have scalloped wings. The addition of Ssdp11 enhances the wing scalloping phenotype seen in BxJ animals. No wing scalloping is seen when combined with ap4 or ap56f.
