A few Ssdp¹¹/Ssdp^KG03600 animals survive to eclose as adults with mild cuticular defects, including a slight distortion of the posterior scutellar bristles, often accompanied by duplication of the anterior scutellar bristles.

Double heterozygotes for Chi^e5.5 and Ssdp^KG03600 have scalloped wings. The addition of Ssdp^KG03600 enhances the wing scalloping phenotype seen in Bx^J animals. No wing scalloping is seen when combined with ap⁴ or ap^56f.
