      ppk11 expression is detected in the suport cells of the taste bristles in the proboscis.

      Larval expression is observed in three terminal organ neurons, and in the tracheal system. Adult expression is observed in two to four chemosensory neurons of a subset of labellar taste bristles, and in neurons of wing margin taste bristles and of leg taste bristles of the male tibia, femur and tarsus
