The loss of denticle belt A5 and gap in denticle belt A4 seen in hop² germ-line clone embryos is suppressed by Cdk4^hs.PC, although the two rescued denticle belts tend to fuse with each other laterally. The denticle belt defects seen in the cuticles of Stat92E⁰⁶³⁴⁶ germ-line clone embryos are not suppressed by Cdk4^hs.PC.
