      Comments

      shdScer\UAS.cPa driven with Scer\GAL4twi.2PE or Scer\GAL4arm.PS rescues ecdysteroid profiles in shd1/shd2 embryos and leads to the production of viable adults. However, in the case of the Scer\GAL4twi.2PE driver, the rescued females are sterile. Egg chambers from these flies arrest and degenerate at about stage 8-9 of oogenesis and have an abnormal ecdysteroid profile.
