scyl31 chrb180/Df(3L)vin4 double mutant flies have increased body weight compared to control flies. scyl31 chrb180 double homozygotes are sensitive to hypoxia; double homozygotes show reduced survival to adulthood under hypoxic conditions compared to normoxic conditions. The large eye phenotype caused by co-expression of Akt1Scer\UAS.cRa and Pk61CScer\UAS.cRa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF is enhanced if the flies also carry scyl31/scyl113. scyl31/scyl31 partially suppresses the reduced body weight phenotype of Akt13 homozygous flies. No difference in body weight between S6k07084/S6kl-1 scyl31/scyl31 double mutants and S6k07084/S6kl-1 single mutants is seen.
