scyl113 chrb180/Df(3L)vin4 double mutant flies have increased body weight compared to control flies. Cells in scyl113 chrb180 double mutant clones in the eye are slightly enlarged compared to wild type. scyl113 chrb180 double homozygotes are sensitive to hypoxia; double homozygotes show reduced survival to adulthood under hypoxic conditions compared to normoxic conditions. The large eye phenotype caused by co-expression of Akt1Scer\UAS.cRa and Pk61CScer\UAS.cRa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF is enhanced if the flies also carry scyl31/scyl113.
