When nerfin-1Scer\UAS.cKa is driven by Scer\GAL4cas-3921, Scer\GAL4pros.PMG or Scer\GAL4sca-537.4 no alterations in neuronal or glial development are seen. Axon fascicle patterning is also not affected. When nerfin-1Scer\UAS.cKa is driven by Scer\GAL4twi.PB, there is no detectable effect on muscle development or embryonic viability. When nerfin-1Scer\UAS.cKa is driven by Scer\GAL4elav-C155 embryos exhibit multiple defects in axon scaffolding throughout the CNS. The development of certain longitudinal connectives is affected. The intermediate and lateral longitudinal fascicles defasciculate, as does the medial longitudinal fascicles, but to a lesser degree.
