Expression of spasT32 under the control of Scer\GAL4unspecified in either ddaC or ddaE neurons does not effect the multipolar morphological type of dendritic arborizing neurons.

Expression of spasT32 under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PU results in eye size reduction and smoother texture.

spasT32 mutant overexpression (through Scer\GAL4ppk.PG) leads to a dramatic reduction in both total dendritic length and branch number. Similarly, the number of branch points are reduced. spas upregulation by expression of spasT32 results in a mild yet significant reduction in axonal growth in class IV da neurons.

Overexpression of spasT32 in the hindgut epithelium (under the control of Scer\GAL4NP2432) does not affect the laterality of this organ.

When spasT32 is driven by Scer\GAL4sca-537.4, at 23oC, mutant embryos embryos display abnormal midline crossing of the inner 1D4 bundle, and the entire ventral nerve cord (VNC) is narrowed at these crossing sites. At 29oC the VNC collapses onto the midline and discrete longitudinal bundles are no longer apparent.
