      Reference

      Expression is seen within all mushroom body lobes in pharate adults, but fades in non-alpha/beta lobes. Eighteen larval abdominal ganglion cells are seen sending projections towards the midline, but this number reduces to 12 in early pupae, and 6 (as three pairs) in pharate adults. Expression is also seen in a small subset of adult peripheral sensory neurons that innervate the female reproductive structures. Labelled cells are first seen in the ventral nerve cord 48hrs after egg laying; in the subesophageal ganglion earlier than 8hrs after egg laying; in the mushroom body neurons throughout larval and pupal stages; and in cells of the eye within 48hrs after egg laying.
