In LamK2 heterozygotes, the adult brain exhibits nuclear envelope invaginations.

Five day-old LamD395/LamK2 mutant flies exhibit severe midgut hyperplasia, equivalent to that seen in 50 day-old wild type flies.

Suppressing secretion in fat body cells expressing Scer\GAL4Cg.PA results in a reduction in gut hyperplasia in LamD395/LamK2 mutant flies.

LamK2 adults have external eye defects.
