Description

The P{XP}CTPsynd06966 insertion maps within both CTPsyn and CG45071. CTPsyn function is disrupted by the insertion: FBrf0220954 shows that P{XP}CTPsynd06966 fails to complement PBac{RB}CTPsyne01207 (an insertion that lies only within the CTPsyn transcription unit) and transcription of CTPsyn is reduced in the insertion line. FBrf0220954 shows that transcription of CG45071 in the P{XP}CTPsynd06966 insertion line is not reduced, suggesting that CG45071 function may be unaffected by the insertion.
