Females expressing grkScer\UAS.cBa under the control of Scer\GAL4mat.αTub67C.T:Hsim\VP16 produce eggs where operculum is present along the entire dorsoventral axis (30% of eggs). The anterior-posterior width of the operculum is not altered in these eggs.
Expression of grkScer\UAS.cBa under the control of Scer\GAL4mat.αTub67C.T:Hsim\VP16 results in egg chambers that are severely dorsalised, despite maintaining dorsal-ventral polarity. The operculum is expanded, while the dorsal appendages, that are normally specified at more lateral positions, are shifted to the ventral side of the egg.

Co-expression of dppScer\UAS.cSa and grkScer\UAS.cBa under the control of Scer\GAL4mat.αTub67C.T:Hsim\VP16 and Scer\GAL4GR1 results in eggs with a large anterior operculum followed by a symmetrical band of dorsal appendage material.
Co-expression of dppScer\UAS.cSa and grkScer\UAS.cBa under the control of Scer\GAL4mat.αTub67C.T:Hsim\VP16 and Scer\GAL4CY2 results in eggs with an expansion of the operculum at the expense of dorsal appendage material.
Expression of grkScer\UAS.cBa under the control of Scer\GAL4mat.αTub67C.T:Hsim\VP16 in a cni1/Df(2L)H60-3 background results in eggs with variable amounts of dorsal appendage material. The eggs lack dorsal-ventral and frequently even anteroposterior polarity (in 30% of cases), illustrated by a patchy induction of the dorsal appendage material around the entire egg circumference and the presence of a posterior micropyle.
