Imprecise excision of the P{SUPor-P} element which deletes part of the second RPA2 exon plus two exons downstream of the original insertion site (952bp of genomic DNA are deleted).
Homozygotes hatch at the same rate as wild-type embryos, but arrest at the second instar with a normal larval cuticle pattern.
RPA22/RPA2[+] is a suppressor of mitotic domain 1 | embryonic cycle 14 phenotype of CycB+t10
RPA22/RPA2[+] is a suppressor of mitotic interphase | embryonic cycle 12 phenotype of CycB+t10
RPA22/RPA2[+] is a suppressor of mitotic interphase | embryonic cycle 13 phenotype of CycB+t10
RPA22/RPA2[+] is a non-suppressor of mitotic domain 1 | embryonic cycle 10 phenotype of CycB+t10
RPA22/RPA2[+] is a non-suppressor of mitotic interphase | embryonic cycle 10 phenotype of CycB+t10
RPA22/RPA2[+] is a non-suppressor of mitotic interphase | embryonic cycle 11 phenotype of CycB+t10
89% of embryos derived from females carrying four copies of CycB+t10 (as well as two wild-type copies of CycB+) and also heterozygous for RPA22 have a normal phenotype at cycle 14, while only 23% of these embryos have a normal phenotype at cycle 10.
The shorter than normal interphase duration seen in embryos derived from females carrying four copies of CycB+t10 (as well as two wild-type copies of CycB+) is not suppressed by RPA22/+ at cycle 10 or 11, but is partially suppressed by RPA22/+ at cycle 12 and is suppressed by RPA22/+ to wild type duration at cycle 13.
