P{SUPor-P} insertion in the third exon.
P{SUPor-P} element in an exon of CG9273 which is nested in an intron of "CG18078". <up>FlyBase curator comment: CG18078 split into CG33317, CR33318 and CR33319 in release 3.2 of the genome annotation. The P{SUPor-P}CG9273KG00759 insertion is not within the transcription unit of CG33317, CR33318 or CR33319</up>.
Homozygous clones in the outer proliferation center (OPC) neuroepithelium are small and composed of only a few cells. The cells retain columnar neuroepithelium cell morphology. Some of the mutant cells are extruded from the neuroepithelium and basally enter the medulla cortex. These extruded cells change morphology.
Homozygotes hatch at the same rate as wild-type embryos, but arrest at the second instar with a normal larval cuticle pattern.
RPA2KG00759/CG9273[+] is a suppressor of mitotic domain 1 | embryonic cycle 14 phenotype of CycB+t10
RPA2KG00759/CG9273[+] is a non-suppressor of mitotic domain 1 | embryonic cycle 10 phenotype of CycB+t10
97% of embryos derived from females carrying four copies of CycB+t10 (as well as two wild-type copies of CycB+) and also heterozygous for RPA2KG00759 have a normal phenotype at cycle 14, while only 24% of these embryos have a normal phenotype at cycle 10.
