Scer\GAL4^Tdc2.PC TfAP-2^B.Scer\UAS males show increased high intensity fighting behaviours, but decreased low intensity fighting compared to controls in male aggression assays. Feeding these males with the Dsk/CCK antagonist SR27897 reduces the number of high intensity fighting behaviours.

Scer\GAL4^Tdc2.PC TfAP-2^B.Scer\UAS males show an decreased frequency of mating behaviours towards virgin females compared to controls. Feeding these males with the Dsk/CCK antagonist SR27897 induces more courtship behaviours.

Scer\GAL4^Tdc2.PC TfAP-2^B.Scer\UAS males are hyperactive and walk at a significantly faster pace compared to controls. The severity of these phenotypes is reduced if flies are fed octopamine antagonists or the Dsk/CCK antagonist SR27897.

Scer\GAL4^Tdc2.PC TfAP-2^B.Scer\UAS male flies over-eat after starvation compared to controls.

Scer\GAL4^Tdc2.PC TfAP-2^B.Scer\UAS male flies eat significantly more food ad lib than controls in a 24 hr period. The number of feeding bouts is significantly increased, while meal size is significantly reduced. Total food intake and the number of feeding bouts are reduced or increased in severity if flies are fed the octopamine antagonist phentolamine or the mammalian CCK antagonist SR27897, respectively.
