      TolloScer\UAS.cKa; Scer\GAL4Ser.PGF flies have small, notched wings. TolloScer\UAS.cKa; Scer\GAL4GMR.PF flies have rough eyes with irregular ommatidial arrays. Epithelial furrows form around somatic clones of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI cells in the wing pouch. In the adult wing, these clones sort out from the wing epithelium.

      The deformed, wrinkled wing phenotype seen in dppScer\UAS.cFa; Scer\GAL4Ser.PGF flies or tkvQ253D.Scer\UAS.cLa; Scer\GAL4Ser.PGF flies (raised at 18oC) is completely suppresessed by TolloScer\UAS.cKa. The resulting flies do not express the small, notched wing phenotype seen in TolloScer\UAS.cKa; Scer\GAL4Ser.PGF animals.

      The rough eye phenotype seen in dppScer\UAS.cFa; Scer\GAL4GMR.PF flies or tkvQ253D.Scer\UAS.cLa; Scer\GAL4GMR.PF flies is suppressed by TolloScer\UAS.cKa, despite the fact that TolloScer\UAS.cKa; Scer\GAL4GMR.PF flies also have a rough eye phenotype.
