Adults homozygous for Ir52c^MB04402 do not have significant changes in proboscis extension rates in response to fatty acids, but do have a significant increase in response to sucrose, compared to controls.

(Ahn et al., 2017)

Ir52c^MB04402 mutant male flies exhibit a moderate but significant copulation delay phenotype. No courtship defects are observed.
