Knockdown of ALiXGD7853 driven in the class IV dendritic arborizing sensory neuron ddaC by Scer\GAL4ppk.1.9 does not lead to pruning defects at 18hr after puparium formation.

Intraluminal vesicles inside MVBs or lysosomes (MVBLs) are almost completely absent in male secondary cells expressing ALiXGD7853 under the control of Scer\GAL4spi-NP0261. Maturing MVBLs (mMVBLs) are smaller than controls. The numbers of immature late endosomes (iLEs) and mMVBLs per secondary cell are similar to controls. Exosome secretion into the accessory gland lumen is reduced compared to controls when ALiXGD7853 is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4dsx.KI.

Expression of ALiXGD7853 under the control of Scer\GAL4esg-NP7397 reduces the ability of males to prevent female remating. Mating times are reduced, but there are no significant effects on egg laying or fecundity.

The nuclei of accessory gland secondary cells expressing ALiXGD7853 under the control of Scer\GAL4esg-NP7397 are reduced in size compared compared to neighbouring main cell nuclei.

Adults expressing ALiXGD7853 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.
