The expression of StingGD1905 under the control of Scer\GAL4NP0001 leads to adults orally or systemically infected with Drosophila C Virus (DCV),as well as adults orally infected with Sindbis virus (SINV) showing increased viral load compared to controls.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI leads to adults systemically infected with DCV, but not SINV, showing increased viral load compared to controls.

Expression of StingGD1905 under the control of Scer\GAL4da.G32 leads to a modest but significant decrease in climbing ability (negative geotaxis) in older (20 days old) flies, but not in young (2 days old) flies, as compared to controls.

Adults expressing StingGD1905 under the control of either Scer\GAL4elav-C155 or Scer\GAL4repo infected with ZIKV present an increased viral load in the head, as compared to infected controls.

The expression of StingGD1905 under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI leads to significantly increased bacterial load and mortality upon infection of adults with Listeria monocytogenes, as compared to controls.

Adults expressing CG1667GD1905 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.

Expression of StingGD1905 under the control of Scer\GAL4da.G32 does not modify the impaired climbing ability, thoracic indentations, or disrupted tissue or mitochondrial integrity in the flight muscles phenotype of young park25 and Pink1B9 mutants.
