Expression of Gba1aGD6246 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PU does not lead to any significant decrease in the adult survival rate or climbing ability compared to age-matched controls but display mild sleep abnormalities.

The brains of one-week old flies expressing Gba1aGD6246 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 exhibit an 81-92% decrease in glucocerebrosidase activity compared with controls.

Adults expressing Gba1aGD6246 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in the absence of 0% or 60-70% of the Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237-expressing area of the notum, depending on the insertion line used.

Expression of Gba1aGD6246 enhances the reduction in climbing activity and loss of dopaminergic neurons seen in flies expressing Hsap\SNCAScer\UAS.cFa under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155.

The eyes of flies co-expressing Hsap\SNCAScer\UAS.cFa and Gba1aGD6246 under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PS exhibit retinal thinning. No thinning is seen when either transgene is expressed alone.
