UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of an inverted repeat.
Expression of EndoUGD3933 under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI results in late pupal lethality. Expression under the Scer\GAL4GMR.PF does not have any significant effect on adult eye morphology, while Scer\GAL4elav-C155-driven knockdown leads to increased pupal lethality, immature adult appearance with various morphological defects (unexpanded wings, unretracted ptilinum, dimpled thorax, misoriented scutellar bristles, soft cuticle) as well as dramatic reduction in adult lifespan, locomotor defects and marked lack of coordination (flies are unable to walk or stay upright). EndoUGD3933 expression driven by either Scer\GAL4ChAT.7.4 or Scer\GAL4Toll-6-D42 (but not by Scer\GAL4CCAP.PP or Scer\GAL4Burs - these flies are viable and morphologically normal) also lead to reduced adult survival locomotion and immature morphological defects, though with the latter driver the phenotypes are much less severe and the morphological defects infrequent.
Adults expressing CG3303GD3933 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.
