Expression of FlaccGD12212 under the control of Scer\GAL4dome-PG14 leads to partial sex transformation in genetically female flies: the adult females develop sex combs on the forelegs and display severe genitalia defects - absence of typical female strutures (vaginal bristles) and presence of structures resembling the male penis apparatus.

Adult females expressing FlaccGD12212 under the control of Scer\GAL4dome-PG14 display sex-determination defects manifested by the appearance of sex combs on their forelegs.

Expression of CG7358GD12212 under the control of the cardioblast-specific Scer\GAL4tin.CΔ4 driver results in viable flies or partial lethality, depending on the particular P{GD12212} insertion line used.

Adults expressing CG7358GD12212 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) can show significantly reduced avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies, depending on the particular P{GD12212} insertion line used.

Adults expressing CG7358GD12212 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) show no significant change in the kinetics of high temperature (46[o]C) induced paralysis compared to control flies.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 may result in an enlarged notum, depending on the insertion line used.
