Under constant darkness conditions: the expression of Grd^GD2702 under the control of Scer\GAL4^Clk.2341 leads to insignificant changes in circadian period and in the proportion of rhythmic individuals, as compared to controls; expression under the control of Scer\GAL4^Clk.1.5 or under the combined control of Scer\GAL4^cry.PE and Scer\GAL80^Pdf.PS leads to a small but significant increase in circadian period, but to insignificant changes in the proportion of rhythmic individuals, as compared to controls; expression under the combined control of Scer\GAL4^Mai179 and Scer\GAL80^Pdf.PS leads to a small but significant decrease in circadian period, but to insignificant changes in the proportion of rhythmic individuals, as compared to controls.

Adults expressing Grd^GD2702 under the control of Scer\GAL4^elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2^Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.
