      Adults expressing Osi23GD3128 under the control of Scer\GAL4neur-P72 show a significant loss of nanopores in maxillary palp olfactory sensilla, associated with severely reduced electrophysiological responses to both strong and weak odor stimuli, as compared to controls.

      Adults expressing Osi23GD3128 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.
