Expressing Cul4GD14006 under the control of Scer\GAL4insc-Mz1407 leads to larval brain neuroblasts showing signs of quiescence: neuroblasts show a significant decrease in cell divisions (both DNA replication/EdU staining and Mitosis/phospho-H3); and frequently show a primary cellular process, whereas control neuroblasts show a typically rounded morphology. (Experiments were done in combination with Dicer-2 for higher RNAi efficiency).

Expression of Cul4GD14006 under the control of Scer\GAL4Cg.PA leads to lethality during early larval stages.

Expression of Cul4GD14006 in somatic cyst cells under the control of any of Scer\GAL4tj-NP1624, Scer\GAL4A3.eya or Scer\GAL4c784 (limited to a week from eclosion onwards using Scer\GAL80ts.αTub84B) does not disrupt germline enclosure in testes, and cytoplasmic extensions from the cyst cells are clearly seen in the expected net-like pattern around the germline.

Adults expressing Cul4GD14006 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR results in late larval lethality.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR results in rounded larval body wall muscles.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR results in sarcomeres with irregular aggregates of Z-lines in the larval body wall muscles.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in loss of bristles on the notum in 10-20% of the Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 expression domain.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in the absence of 90-100% of the Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237-expressing area of the notum.
