Detailed Description

The expression of mod(mdg4)GD16547 under the control of Scer\GAL4nub.PU (together with Dicer-2, for efficient RNAi) leads to small and folded wings, as compared to controls.

Adults expressing mod(mdg4)GD16547 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.

The co-expression of mod(mdg4)GD16547 (together with Dicer-2, for efficient RNAi) suppresses the oversized wing defects induced by the expression of SmoxSDVD.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4nub.PU.

Co-expression of mod(mdg4)GD16547 with Zzzz\CAG93.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC,T:Zzzz\FLAG under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PFa results in an enhancement of the Zzzz\CAG93.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC,T:Zzzz\FLAG-induced eye phenotype and a reduction in viability of the flies.

Co-expression of mod(mdg4)GD16547 with Zzzz\CAGCAA.94.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC,T:Zzzz\FLAG under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PFa results in a mild enhancement of the Zzzz\CAGCAA.94.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC,T:Zzzz\FLAG-induced eye pigmentation defects.

Co-expression of mod(mdg4)GD16547 with Zzzz\CTG86.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC,T:Zzzz\FLAG under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PFa results in the enhancement of the Zzzz\CTG86.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC,T:Zzzz\FLAG-induced eye phenotype.

Co-expression of mod(mdg4)GD16547 with Zzzz\CTGterm.CTG.99.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PFa results in a marked disruption of the pigmentation and patterning of the eye.

Co-expression of mod(mdg4)GD16547 with Zzzz\CAGterm93.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PFa does not disrupt eye patterning.

Co-expression of mod(mdg4)GD16547 with Zzzz\CAGterm.CAA.114.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PFa does not disrupt eye patterning.

Co-expression of mod(mdg4)GD16547 with Hsap\ATXN10rAUUCU.65.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PFa does not disrupt eye patterning.
