UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of an inverted repeat.
Expression of pcmGD10926 under the control of either Scer\GAL469B or Scer\GAL4nub-AC-62 results in smaller adult wing size and vein defects (including loss of anterior cross vein, shortened L5 and/or posterior cross vein). Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4en.PU leads to loss of tissue, notches, blisters as well as vein defects only in the posterior compartment of the adult wing.
The pcmGD10926 expression under the control of Scer\GAL4nub-AC-62 results in increased apoptosis (assessed by Caspase-3 antibody staining) in the wing pouch of third instar larval wing disc and the increased apoptosis is still limited to the wing pouch when the RNAi is driven by Scer\GAL469B or to the posterior part of the wing pouch when driven by Scer\GAL4en.PU.
Adults expressing pcmGD10926 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) show significantly reduced avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.
Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR results in a weak flyer phenotype.
Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in the absence of 80-90% of the Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237-expressing area of the notum.
