Gyc76C^3L043/Gyc76C^KG03723ex33 transheterozygotes are lethal.

Flies whose wings contain small somatic clones homozygous mutant for Gyc76C^KG03723ex33 often display disrupted posterior crossvein phenotype and occasionally other morphological defects such as blistering. Flies carrying larger clones (induced in the posterior wing compartment in a Minute/+ background to give them a growth advantage) do not survive to adulthood.

Gyc76C^KG03723ex33 embryos show motor axon guidance defects as ISNb and SNa axons often fail to defasciculate and do not innervate their proper muscle targets. Gyc76C^KG03723ex33/Gyc76C^KG03723ex173 embryos show the same phenotype.
