UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of an inverted repeat.
2-day expression of TbceGD10779 and TbceKK100119 combined, under the control of Scer\GAL469B and Gal80[ts] results in a small third instar larval brain with mitotic defects: increased mitotic index with increased mitotic timing; neuroblasts exhibit over-condensed chromosomes, shorter spindles and decreased microtubule densities during metaphase; microtubule re-growth assays reveal that neuroblasts show a severe impairment of microtubule nucleation on the kinetochores and spindle region, while nucleation at the centrosome appeared similar to the controls.
2-day expression of TbceGD10779 under the control of Scer\GAL469B and Gal80[ts] leads to the third instar larval brain exhibiting increased mitotic index, increased mitotic timing and shorter spindles.
Expression under the control of Scer\GAL41407 results in loss of neuroblasts in the larval brain associated with increased size of the remaining neuroblasts.
Expression under the control of Scer\GAL41407 results in shorter neuroblast lineages (less daughter cells per neuroblast) in the larval brain compared to controls.
Expression under the control of Scer\GAL41407 results in mild defects in the shape of neuroblasts in the larval brain.
