UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of an inverted repeat.
2-day expression of TbceGD10779 and TbceKK100119 combined, under the control of Scer\GAL469B and Gal80[ts] results in a small third instar larval brain with mitotic defects: increased mitotic index with increased mitotic timing; neuroblasts exhibit over-condensed chromosomes, shorter spindles and decreased microtubule densities during metaphase; microtubule re-growth assays reveal that neuroblasts show a severe impairment of microtubule nucleation on the kinetochores and spindle region, while nucleation at the centrosome appeared similar to the controls.
2-day expression of TbceKK100119 under the control of Scer\GAL469B and Gal80[ts] leads to the third instar larval brain exhibiting increased mitotic index, increased mitotic timing and shorter spindles.
