aux^L78H/aux^W328X animals expressing aux^{ΔJ.Scer\UAS.T:Disc\RFP-mRFP} under the control of Scer\GAL4^Act5C.PI die before the larval stage.

Homozygous aux^W328X mutants die before larval stage.

Mutant animals of heteroallelic combinations for aux^W328X/aux^I670K can occasionally survive until adulthood when raised at 18^oC. They eye phenotypes of these animals, although raised at 18^oC, are more drastic than the eye roughness exhibited by aux^I670K homozygotes at 25^oC.
