    Detailed Description
    Statement
    Reference

    Heterozygous flies have normal eyes.

12% of ommatidia have polarity defects in homozygous flies. 82% of these polarity defects being due to problems in the specification of the R3 and R4 cell fates, resulting in symmetric ommatidia. An additional 8% are missing photoreceptors. The external surface of the eye remains smooth in homozygous flies, and the lattice is perfectly maintained due to wild-type rotation of the mutant ommatidia.

    Additional Comments
    Genetic Interactions
    Statement
    Reference

The ommatidial polarity defects caused by Vangsev.PR are significantly suppressed by one copy of bdgGMREP.

bdgGMREP dominantly enhances the ommatidial polarity defects of dsh1 and stanfrz3 mutants.

The ommatidial polarity defects caused by pkunspecified are not modified by one copy of bdgGMREP.

The ommatidial polarity defects caused by dgo380 are suppressed by one copy of bdgGMREP.
