Detailed Description
Statement
Reference

Development of many of the egg chambers in Pabp26 homozygous females is arrested at stage 8. These females do lay some eggs, but over 90% of these do not hatch and about half have polarity defects or a thin chorion. Early stage defects in these embryos suggest cell-cycle irregularities: nuclei of various sizes are present; nuclei are distributed unevenly; cellularization is sometimes defective. A similar range of phenotypes is seen in embryos from Pabp26 homozygous germ-line clones.
