Egg chambers in PsGEFΔ21/PsGEFΔ55 females are morphologically normal and there are no defects in border cell migration.

The alpha lobes of the mushroom bodies are thinner in PsGEFΔ21 mutants than in wild type. Visualisation of late born alpha/beta lobe neurons indicates that the alpha lobes are thinner than normal in the mutants because the alpha lobes are often short, and their positions along the beta lobes vary.

34% of late-born PsGEFΔ21 alpha/beta neuron single cell clones have branching defects, with the axon that normally grows towards the alpha lobe being missing.

The morphology of the alpha'/beta' lobes of the mushroom bodies is normal in mutant flies.
