Expression of bazdsRNA.cRa.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4C57 in the muscles results in a reduction of postsynaptic F-actin at the larval neuromuscular junction. In addition, synaptic boutons are significantly reduced in number and show a significant increase in average volume compared to wild type.
Larvae expressing bazdsRNA.cRa.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4C57 in the muscles in a baz815-8/+ background show an increase in evoked excitatory junctional potential (EJP) amplitude compared to controls, and the amplitude and frequency of miniature EJPs is increased in these animals compared to wild type.
