Third instar larvae expressing MntKK108462 (together with UAS-Dicer2 to enhance RNAi efficiency) under the control of Scer\GAL4ppk.1.9 display hypersensitive behavioral response (shortened latency till response to 42[o]C thermal probe stimulus) in a thermal nociception assay. MntKK108462 RNAi expression also leads to significantly decreased dendrite coverage in the ddaC dorsal multidendritic neurons compared to controls.
