The expression of Rab1JF02609 under the control of Scer\GAL4SPARC-MI00329-GAL4 (and Dicer-2, for a more efficient RNAi) in the larval fat body leads to defects in general secretion, as shown by the aberrant intracellular accumulation of Vkg.GFP (collagen IV), Trol.GFP, secr.GFP and Vkg.GFP.

The expression of Rab1JF02609 under the control of Scer\GAL4SPARC-MI00329-GAL4 (and Dicer-2, for a more efficient RNAi) in the larval fat body induces defective secretion, including extracellular matrix material, as shown by the retention of both secr.GFP and Vkg.GFP. Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4Cg.PA alone leads to enlarged endoplasmic reticulum exit sites (Sec16.GFP) and of the cis-Golgi (Grasp65.RFP).

The clonal expression of Rab1JF02609 under the control of Scer\GAL4ppk.PU in ddaC neuron leads to a significantly simplified dendrite arbors with fewer dendritic termini in white pre-pupae and leads to strong pruning defects in pupae (16h APF).

Expression of Rab1JF02609 under the control of CtxGlia-SplitGal4 (Hsim\VP16AD.nrv2 and Scer\GAL4DBD.wrapper.932i) leads to an altered cortex glial morphology in third instar larvae when compared to controls.
