Larvae derived from females carrying homozygous germline clones show variable deletions of denticle belts. All of the abdominal segments, as well as terminal structures, can be affected, but there is no effect on dorsal-ventral patterning.

Homozygous larvae show normal patterning, but they die at later stages of development.
