LanB1^1B1/LanB1^28a third instar larvae show overgrowth of the neuromuscular junction.

(Tsai et al., 2012)

Homozygotic lethal at larval stages. The lethality phenotype was further reduced when transheterozygous to Df(2L)LanB1. Homozygous LanB1^28a larvae given yeast paste containing food colouring failed to show accumulation of food in the alimentary tract even after 1hr.
