      Expression of shgdsRNA.Scer\UAS.cVa driven by Scer\GAL4C587 in the testis results in an apparent decrease in the number of somatic stem cells in one-day-old males.

      The apical hub in the testis of males older than 15 days is severely diminished or lost as a result of shgdsRNA.Scer\UAS.cVa-expression driven by Scer\GAL4C587.
