Co-expression of MadmScer\UAS.cGa with bunA.Scer\UAS.N.T:Zzzz\SBP, bunA.Scer\UAS.C.T:Zzzz\SBP, or bunA.Scer\UAS, under the control of Scer\GAL4esg-NP5130 (in combination with a Gal80[ts] transgene to restrict expression to the adult stage) leads to a significant increase in cell proliferation in the midgut, and an increase in the number of midgut cells, as compared to controls or flies expressing either construct alone.

Co-expression of MadmScer\UAS.cGa with bunA.Scer\UAS.T:SV40\nls-largeT or bunA.Scer\UAS.T:Zzzz\SBP,T:SV40\nls-largeT under the control of Scer\GAL4esg-NP5130 (in combination with a Gal80[ts] transgene to restrict expression to the adult stage) does not significantly affect proliferation or cell number in the midgut.
