Scer\GAL4238Y/gishUAS.cTa partially rescues gishMB896
Scer\GAL4c305a/gishUAS.cTa fails to rescue gishMB896
gishUAS.cTa/Scer\GAL4c739 fails to rescue gishMB896
Expression of gishScer\UAS.cTa under the control of either Scer\GAL4Mef2.247 or Scer\GAL4238Y partially rescues the 3 minute memory impairment of gishMB896 homozygotes after olfactory associative training.
Expression of gishScer\UAS.cTa under the control of either Scer\GAL4c305a or Scer\GAL4c739 does not rescue the 3 minute memory impairment of gishMB896 homozygotes after olfactory associative training.
Experiments in which the temperature-sensitive Scer\GAL80ts.αTub84B allele is used to restrict Scer\GAL4 expression to particular developmental stages by using temperature shifts show that expression of gishScer\UAS.cTa under the control of either Scer\GAL4Mef2.247 or Scer\GAL4238Y only during the adult stage partially rescues the memory impairment of gishMB896 homozygotes after olfactory conditioning, but that expression of gishScer\UAS.cTa under the control of either Scer\GAL4Mef2.247 or Scer\GAL4238Y only during development (prior to the adult stage) does not rescue the memory impairment of gishMB896 homozygotes.
