The expression of dlScer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 does not induce apoptosis in the third instar larval wing pouch.

Expression of dlScer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 results in increased numbers of hemocytes on the surface of third instar larval wing discs, as compared to controls.

Larval lymph glands containing clones expressing dlScer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP under the control of Scer\GAL4Act.PU show a reduction in crystal cells and an increase in lamellocytes compared to glands containing control cells. In both cases, mature cells are outside the clone boundary, indicating a non cell-autonomous effect.
