Girdin^{dsRNA.Scer\UAS}, Scer\GAL4^Act5C.PI animals exhibit late pupal lethality.

Expression of Girdin^{dsRNA.Scer\UAS} using Scer\GAL4^en-e16E results in reduction of the posterior wing area and a decrease in cell size. These phenotypes are enhanced in a Girdin^unspecified/+ background.

The posterior region of the wing imaginal disc in which Girdin^{dsRNA.Scer\UAS} is overexpressed with Scer\GAL4^en-e16E does not exhibit an increased number of apoptotic cells.
