Detailed Description
Statement
Reference

Terminal cells in Dlic1 mutant trachea have thin cytoplasmic branches that lack air filling. Seamless tubes do not extend into these branches, although acetylated microtubules often do. Formation of filopodia at branch tips is disrupted and ectopic seamless tubes that are not air filled are detected near the nucleus. Discontinuous apical membrane fragments are found in terminal branches lacking seamless tubes and are associated with microtubule tracts.

Dlic1/Dlic2, Dlic1/Df(1)v-N48 or Dlic1/DlicG0065 dendrites of class IV da neurons at 44-48 hr after egg laying show a significant undergrowth phenotype.

Genetic Interactions
Statement

wkd220/Df(3R)Exel6276 does not enhance the ectopic seamless tube phenotype seen in Dlic1 mutant tracheal terminal cell clones.

Expression of Rab35Q67L.Scer\UAS.P\T.T:Avic\GFP-YFP under the control of Scer\GAL4btl.PS does not suppress the ectopic tube phenotype seen in Dlic1 mutant tracheal cell clones.

Comments

Expression of DlicScer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP.cSa under the control of Scer\GAL4unspecified rescues the mutant dendritic arborization phenotype of Dlic1 mutant neurons.
