Expressing foxoHMS00422 under the control of Scer\GAL4ppk.PU results in a significantly reduced number of branch points in the dendrites of class IV dendritic arborizing neurons in third instar larvae compared to wild-type controls.

Third instar larvae expressing foxoHMS00422 under the control of Scer\GAL4109(2)80 are significantly less motile and show more frequent head turning than wild-type controls.

The expression of foxoHMS00422 under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR58E02 leads to a significant decrease in the number of dopaminergic PAM neurons in the adult brain, as compared to controls; adulthood-only expression under the control of Scer\GAL4Fer2.2359 (and Gal80[ts], for the temporal control of expression) also leads to a significant decrease in the number of dopaminergic PAM neurons in 35 days old adults, but not in 1 and 14 days old adults, as compared to controls.

Expression of foxoHMS00422 in C-I neurons under the control of Scer\GAL4221 results in ddaD neurons that have an increased number of dendritic branches compared to controls.

Expression of foxoHMS00422 in C-IV neurons under the control of Scer\GAL4ppk.1.9 results in a reduction in total dendritic length in ddaC and v'ada neurons. The total number of dendritic branches is also reduced in ddaC neurons.

Third instar larvae expressing foxoHMS00422 under the control of Scer\GAL4D42 exhibit significantly elevated numbers of closed, tightly bundled futsch-positive microtubules at neuromuscular junction 6/7.
